At Merc Electric Car Service, we use the same electronic diagnostic equipment as Mercedes Benz. This ensures that our work meets the high standards of Mercedes, and your car is assessed according to Mercedes protocols.

Unlike Mercedes-Benz, however, we charge a lower fee for an electronic diagnostic, with prices starting from £90+VAT. It's important to note that electronic diagnostics are not foolproof. While they provide a useful starting point for identifying issues, the results often point to secondary failures rather than the primary cause. As a result, further investigative work may be necessary even after an electronic diagnosis.

An electronic diagnostic offers an initial basis for identifying a car’s fault. After evaluating the computer’s readings, our technician will determine whether the issue can be resolved immediately or if further diagnostics are needed, and will inform you accordingly. Please note that the diagnostic is not part of a Mercedes A or B service and will incur an extra charge if you choose to carry out both services.
